I hate the look of cords sticking out from the various appliances in my kitchen. I have tried hiding them behind cookbooks and serving trays but the prong part of the cord (or in this case the really ugly transformer for the phone) means the book or tray doesn’t rest against the tile.
So I hunted around the house for something that would fit around the plugs. I tried the star in the picture below but it wasn’t tall enough. Then I found this old oak frame I picked up for another project.
The depth of the frame was perfect for hiding the cords and as you can see it was $1.95 at GoodWill.
One coat of Oil Rubbed Bronze paint and a free printable and I had a great cord cover up. Wish I could tell you where I got this cute little pear print but I didn’t write it and now I don’t remember. But if you want a print just let me know I will be happy to send it to you.
The print gave me the opportunity to add a bit of apple green to my kitchen and now I love this little vignette that hides my cords and plugs.
And the best part is that it was done with things I already had and didn’t cost me a penny.
Thanks for reading.
